About The Badger Learning Center

Training to Organize & Win!

The Badger Learning Center (BLC) is led by Roe Parker, a lifelong Wisconsin Democrat, educator, and organizer with more than 30 years of experience building the skills needed to win campaigns, strengthen communities, and govern effectively. BLC is a non-profit enterprise to support progressives and Democrats across Wisconsin and the nation.

Roe has spent his career developing practical, skills-based training and eLearning for working adults, volunteers, and leaders. He led statewide training programs for the Wisconsin Departments of Workforce Development and Health and Social Services, developed scalable eLearning for the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and taught hands-on project management and leadership courses through the UW–Madison Small Business Development Center for 15 years.

Roe’s Democratic Party experience includes elected office, party leadership, and service on nine Democratic campaigns—from local races to presidential contests. He remains active with Wisconsin progressives, using relational and deep-canvassing strategies to build durable grassroots power. A major leadership role includes leading one of the most dynmanic conservation nonprofits in Dane County, USA. A sample of his workshop titles includes  Artificial Intelligence (AI), community organizing, and volunteer recruitment and retention.

The Badger Learning Center exists to equip Democrats and progressives with the real-world skills needed to organize, lead, and win. Your support helps keep this training accessible and growing.
