Roe Parker is an educator and leader with a focus on the future. He is active in the Oregon Area Progressives and the founder of Anderson Park Friends, Inc. (APF). Roe leads the APF Board that increased volunteer engagement to over 3,900 hours in 2022. His leadership increased the number of new members from 0 to 105 in a 3-year period.

A long-time Dem, his political experience was gained as a county board supervisor and leader/staff person in 8 political campaigns-presidential, congressional, state, and local.
As a community organizer, Roe helped pioneer the emergency food pantry and community garden movements in Wisconsin. His memberships included the American Federation of Teachers, former AFL-CIO Member, and food cooperatives. Roe is retired after 37 years of civil service contributions at the WI Dept. of Agriculture, WI Dept. Work Force Development, and the WI Technical College System.
As a Master Level Educator, he managed a successful consulting and training business for 19 years. His background includes workshops, conference presentations, and developing online (eLearning) courses for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His master’s degree is from UW-Stout in career and technical (business) education.
Roe's highly rated workshops were a fixture at the UW Madison-Small Business Development Center for over 14 years. Participants and clients ranged from Epic to the Vita Plus Corporation and over 75 small businesses.
His workshops benefited a variety of small businesses and nonprofits on the topics of project management, fundraising, volunteer recruitment & management, problem solving, and creativity.
Roe has also instructed grant writing courses for over 14 years for Madison College. His courses supported over 110 nonprofits and 250 grant writers. Over 14 southeast Asian charitable organizations benefited from proposals that brought back $1.5 million from Washington D.C.
